I'm not able to reproduce this in my tests (Chrome 121.0.6167.85 (Mac Intel), JCE PRO 2.9.61, Joomla 4.4.2.

Also tested in Brave 1.62.156 Chromium: 121.0.6167.139

Your issue could be caused by a browser extension. Do you have any browser extensions active?

Hi Ryan,

i have uninstalled all chrome extensions and the issue persists.

the issue also happens with a clean install of Brave Browser: Version 1.62.156 Chromium: 121.0.6167.139 (Offizieller Build) (arm64)

No crashes observed on my Windows PC with the latest chrome.

Can you try Firefox?

I've tested this too on Browserstack - https://www.browserstack.com/ - on MacOS Sonoma (arm64) with Chrome without any issue.

I've not had any other reports of this.

Thanks for replying.

Firefox and Safari work no problem.

I have also tested an older version of Brave Release v1.62.147 (Chromium 120.0.6099.234)
and the latest Canary Build of Chrome Version 123.0.6286.0 canary (arm64)
both no problems

So i guess there is some problem with my current combination of os and chromium.

Let's hope the issue goes away with a future build of chromium
