I would like to allow access for media manager with private path using $username folder. But it doesn't work. Perhaps I have to change defaut file system (Joomla native actually) with another but not other choice.
So I buy JCE Pro and still nothing.
how to ?

When you set the File Directory Path value with a variable, eg: $username, it must be within an existing path, eg: images/$username. The path cannot start with a variable.
