In Version 2.9.1 and JCE Pro 2.9.2 Beta 3 the insert of a iframe not work. When i will insert a iframe, the window for setting the iframe will show. When i save this, nothing is insert in the article. In Joomla, the rights are given vor the user that i work (textfilter = no filtering). With the 2.8.18 it work's.

In Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> Media Support, what have you selected for Allow IFrames?
