Is there a way to have the "[x] Resize" option initially ticked, and with a particular value — like "1000 x 750" for instance — when the download modal is opened?

This would be most helpful as a preference.

In Editor Profiles -> Editor Parameters -> Filesystem, set Upload Resize State to On, and add the width and height values as a comma separated list to the Resize Width and Resize Height fields.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
