Hello,

in a former version I could use Links with type "Popup". E.G. a link to a pdf-file is so, that reading the pdf-document is possible as popup, while the user remains on the same page.

Now I use version 2.9.6-beta5, but it isn't possible to select a popup-option. Or is it still possible?

You need to install JCE MediaBox https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/products/jce-mediabox - or already have a compatible "lightbox" extension installed, like RocketTheme RokBox or Yootheme WidgetKit.

I have installed the jce-mediabox. Now it is possible, but there is a relative long wait-time, until the popup appears. Is it possible, to load the popup fastener?

The "wait-time" is determined by the fact that the document (pdf) must be loaded from your server before it is displayed.
