Hello,...

I am experiencing the same behaviour as mentioned in this post:
https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/97723

It seems to be related to something with the Gantry5 framework.

I was wondering if it's possible to determine which component/plugin is responsible for breaking JCE as I'd really like to use it.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Done,... I got no notification that the message was received ok...
If not, please let me know..

The issue here looks to be with the Editor Profile assignment. Check that the profile you are using for this is assigned to All Components in Editor Profiles -> Setup (A Users component assignment is not currently available).

Wow, that was it! Thanks so much.
I had created a new group and was *only* using that group for the test users.

But the group was not assigned in the 'default' editor profile.

Thanks!

I'll read up about the editor profiles. Not sure how to use them... And how one is chosen over the other (for example when is "Front End" selected over the "Default" profile?)

The order is important. Think of "Default" as the least specific, so this should be lower in the profiles list than other profiles that have more specific Area, Device, Component or User Group assignments.
