- The server returned an invalid JSON response..
Hi,
we got problems with some file uploads (mostly png files) over the JCE Data Browser... sometimes we got an Error called:
The server returned an invalid JSON response..
At this site we have 2 Super Admin accounts... but only one account has this problem... So I dont think this is server side? Any suggestions?
Everything is up to date ... only the PHP Version of the website is still 5.X.X because of an older Site that is still running... We want to change it after the new is ready for release...
Thanks you

Hi,
we found out that a VPN connection caused the error.
Thanks for the help.

Which PHP version are you using? JCE Pro requires a minimum of 5.6 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/documentation/editor/requirements
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

Are you attempting to resize the images on upload? How big are they?

The settings are standard.. only the uploade size is changed to 8MB., so the rezise images on uploade is enabled. The Files are JPG or PNG the last image that was uploaded was 60KB (480*640). But we didnt resize it while uplading the file.
The second Super Admin send me a video file where he showed me the issue.... so the file browser didnt even list the image files correct, or the folders, he only got the browser interface with a blank site and the error.
Do you maybe know some issues with firewalls or antivirus programs? We never had that issue with JCE so far.

Please try JCE Pro 2.8.11 Beta 6 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development
