I have a similar problem.

I have tried these settings :
- set "/images/" as main directory
- use default settings
and for a user profile I have set the main directory for filemanger as "/images/pdf"

In all cases the filemanager give access to the main joomla directory and give access to all folder like "administrator", "includes", "librairies", "modules, "plugins" etc.

It's a big problem.

Edit : I'm using the last version 2.7.11

Edit 2 : I have remove the first slash before "images" and I go right to the images folder
But the problem with default/empty settings is not solved

Please try JCE Pro 2.7.12 RC1 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

yes it works!. Can I use it on productive site?

I am sorry, my test was wrong, JCE Pro 2.7.12RC1 resolves the home directory problem, but creates new problem: sending rezised mage with thumbnail ends with the image rezised to the thumbnails dimensions and with now thumbnail image!

Ryan
Yes, I am releasing this version tomorrow. I doubt there will be any changes, but if you install RC2 now, you can update to the release version tomorrow.

@dolmenhir - Please try JCE Pro 2.7.12 RC2 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

In all cases the filemanager give access to the main joomla directory and give access to all folder like "administrator", "includes", "librairies", "modules, "plugins" etc.

This will also only happen if you have set Allow Root Access to Yes in Editor Profiles -> Editor Parameters -> Filesystem:

Hi Ryan,
Thank you for your help, but I have found the cause of my issue.
It happends when the select list "Filesystem" is set to "--Not set--".
I have changed it to "Joomla! (default)" and the root access is no more accesibled.
Regards,
Dol.

After uninstalling JCE, installing JCE 2.6.38 everything (main directory settings, upload and resizing image and thumbnail) works perfect! Even 2.7.12-beta1 and -rc2 were ok. Very strange...

Ryan
@gerbewe1 - JCE Pro 2.7.12 RC4 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development - should resolve all issues - main directory settings, upload and resizing image and thumbnail.
