Hi,
I have the following setup:
Users created before Joomla 3.9.x
Frontend User Profile with User image (fieldtype=mediajce) (mandatory field)
Updated to Joomla 3.9.x
When a user logs into frontend, he/she needs to confirm privacy consent (which is ok and wanted). In the same form, the user image is a mandatory field. I cannot save the form without privacy consent nor user image.
If the users clicks on "choose image" in the mediajce-field, the popup does not show the JCE file browser but the user profile form again.
So, the user cannot add an image --> cannot save form.
The user cannot save privacy consent because the image is missing.
It is like a trap ;-)
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks
Sigrid

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
Hi,
actually, we don't show the field to guests (not-logged-in users). For registering you see only name, email and password.
The problem occours after login when editing your profile page.
It comes from the privacy consent.

Hi Ryan,
so when what you say is true why is it working flawlessly for users registering a new account?
The problem occurs only with users trying to login to their existing account for the first time after adding the privacy consent.

The File Browser is only available for the logged in user - as it should be, as allowing uploads for guests could be a security problem - so this field should be removed or restricted to your registered users only.
The user could add an image after having logged in or created the account.
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.
