I am making JCE Media pop up boxes to stream videos from Vimeo. Google chrome does not stream correctly- there is audio but no visuals (all black). The media box works with perfectly with Firefox and Edge. The problem is fairly recent. Pop-ups built in June work correctly in all browsers.
I am using JCE Pro 2.6.33
See the problem by clicking on the first video "Making Global Colors"

Please help! Thank you!

I now have the same problem when using the Chrome browser; audio but no video.
I uninistalled the old version of MediaBox and installed the the dev version of MediaBox, per your link.
I still have audio, but no video, only audio, in the popup when using the latest Chrome browser.
Recent Firefox browser works fine; popup shows the Vimeo video and plays audio correctly.

It took a few days, but I found a solution.
The trick is which Vimeo link you are using with MediaBox.
On Vimeo, when looking at the settings page, click View Video in the upper right corner.
Copy the link in the address bar and link it to MediaBox. How many numbers you have in the address depends on the video's privacy settings. It will look something like this: https://vimeo.com/307589992
If you use the Vimeo generated link listed in the Distribution Settings, Chrome will not play MediaBox correctly. The Vimeo generated link looks like this: https://player.vimeo.com/external/307589992.hd.mp4?s=cf599689ef19c6041473848b549a2cedb48762fb&profile_id=175
Try the address link- it is working on my site across several web platforms.
Ryan,
Thank you for the update. It is working well. One small bug is when I link MediaBox to a captioned image, the image shifts off center. Removing the pop-up icon recenters the image.

This is because the iframe that the video is loaded in does not generate a "loaded" event as it does in Firefox, so there is no indication of when to hide the loading animation (which is why you are not seeing a picture). The url would need to be loaded as a straight video instead of a vimeo one, but there was an issue with the MediaBox script which would have prevented this.
In attempting to fix the problem, a whole lot of other issues arose, which is why there has been a delay in my reply. I was going to suggest the solution you found as an alternative, which is actually the best way to display Vimeo content.
A new version of MediaBox 2 is going to be available soon, integrating Lightcase - http://cornel.bopp-art.com/lightcase/
