in the "File Browser" no(pic-) files are shown. Only sub-dirs are listed.

PS: That also happens to earlier version 2.9.3.

I'm not seeing an issue in any of my tests, on local development sites or the demo site - https://demo.joomlacontenteditor.net/

Please check your settings in Editor Profiles -> Plugin Parameters -> File Browser.
