In a Joomla article I have many textarea/editor custom fields that load JCE, this really slows down page load.
Often I go into an article to edit one custom field and have to wait for everything to load. It would be great to load the page without all the JCE files, then click a toggle button on a field to load JCE files for that custom field.
Is it possible to load your editor files when required with a toggle button?

JCE files are only loaded once on the page, regardless of how many textarea/editor custom fields are on the page.
In Editor Profiles -> Features & Layout, you can set the editor to be "off" by default - set the Editor State to Off - and then toggle the editor by clicking the "power" button above each textarea, to create the editor instance.
