Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

When I try creating a new folder with a name, if I space anywhere in the title it gives an error about an invalid character

In Editor Profiles -> Editor Parameters -> Filesystem, is Allow Spaces in File / Folder Names set to Yes?

The behavior should be what is selected above. This has always worked, but now my first screenshot is happening

It lets me create the folder and does so with spaces, but your warning still comes up. That makes is confusing for users, see bellow
