Hey there :)

When editing an article the Toolbar (id="editor-xtd-buttons") is not showing.

Can you help?

- css caching is off
- works with standard editor

A few versions ago, a new Joomla button was added, which when placed in the editor toolbar, moves all the editor-xtd buttons below the editor, into a menu accessed from this button.

You may have inadvertantly added it to the editor toolbar, in Editor Profiles -> Features & Layout. If you remove it, the editor-xtd buttons will display below the editor again.
