I see this is a common problem when uploading images to articles.

PHP memory limit is 128MB. Max server upload size is 10240 KB. In JCE I have 3072 KB for max file upload.

Upload Resize Options and resample image turned off (turning them on changes nothing), Remove Image EXIF is Off, even though server has EXIF support. All permissions are Writable. I still get the JSON error.

The issue has been around for quite awhile and I've just resized images before uploading.

JCE 2.6.38

JCE 2.6.38 is no longer developed or supported - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/documentation/editor/requirements

Please upgrade the PHP version on your site to 5.6 or later (preferably 7.2 or later) and upgrade JCE Pro to the latest version - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/latest
