Hi,

I just purchased JCE Pro, downloaded 2.8.2, and as per this post ...

https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/99216

... the markdown option is missing. I didn't want to downgrade to the Beta referenced in that post, so I poked around (I'm a Joomla developer), found the pro.json file, and set 'editable' to 1. The option now shows up, I can enable it, and it works when typing markdown by hand. But ... I need to be able to paste markdown, as per this thread ...

https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/forum/87773

... which doesn't seem to work. I paste plain text markdown, and nothing gets formatted.

Please try the latest JCE Pro 2.8.3 Beta - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

Much better, thank you!

A few inconsistencies with the pasting, like if there is a colon after a title, like ...

##Discord:

... it doesn't pick up the formatting, but just ...

##Discord

... works. Although if I then go and hit enter on those lines, it will format them

But it's good enough for my immediate needs.

Many thanks.

When pasting content, the Marked library is used to process markdown - https://marked.js.org/#/README.md#README.md - which requires a space between the ## and the word, eg: ## Discord instead of ##Discord

I will update the other markdown parser to use this as well, as this is what the specification indicates - https://spec.commonmark.org/0.29/#atx-heading
