We are running two almost Identical sites:
http://www.stunewslaguna.com
http://www.stunewsnewport.com
I have JCE Pro installed on both. The install on the www.stunewslaguna.com site has more "Plugin Parameters" and shows a "Page Break" and "Read More" button at the bottom of the editor and the "Read More" buttons in the articles work everywhere. I reinstalled the JCE Pro on the www.stunewsnewport.com site in an effort to get those same "Plugin Parameters". All of the parameters are not there. Also, the "Page Break" and "Read More" buttons don't show up at the bottom of the editor. The read more buttons in the articles work on some pages but not on articles when they are moved to the archives tab. Could you let me know if I am doing something wrong? Thanks.

Please try JCE Pro 2.8.0 Beta 3 - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/pro/development

Thanks Ryan. I uninstalled the previous version and installed the new beta. The buttons are back but I am still having the issue with the read more button not functioning in the archive section on www.stunewsnewport.com. For example if you do a search for "Landsea Homes lauded in three prestigious awards 111919" and click on that search result a page loads but the article doesn't (sorry for the long search term). Also, the read more button in the editor is just a line (see attached screenshot). The editor on www.stunewslaguna.com shows the light blue band with the little break icon in the middle. Sorry to be such a pain.

Thanks.

The Read More break and associated link is only processed and displayed in a Blog layout - https://docs.joomla.org/Splitting_an_Article_into_an_introduction_with_a_link_to_read_more

Please note that the Read More that is inserted by the JCE and Joomla button is only a placeholder, used to mark the point in the article at which the Joomla Article Manager will split the content.
