Missing Tabs on Front End Editor
Joomla 3.9.13
JCE Pro 2720

Someone who has only access to front end editing of articles, signaled me that tabs are missing in the editor, and that only the first one CONTENUE (site = French) is available. See picture JCE-Missing-Tabs-Front-end.jpg.

I checked the back end, but everything seems to work from there.

I checked the configuration for front end editing, but don’t see anything abnormal. Looking with the Inspector (FF) I don’t see the other tabs either, see picture JCE-Missing-Tabs-Front-end-2.jpg

I can’t get my head around this one, so I ask you for help or a suggestion which way to look.

Thanks for your response, but I had already checked the Editing Layout Options and found nothing unusual, so I did not mention that. But if you say that the Joomla Article Manager is responsible, my next step is ti re-install the core. Fingers crossed.

Hi, same problem here with the last 2.8, there is an error in console, the tabs are display with tiny mce.

Yes this solved the bug, thanks.

UPDATE

For me, the reason that the front end editing view only showed the content tab, was because JCE needs MooTools in front end and the plugin responsible for switching MT automatically on when needed, stopped working for whatever reason.

Installed version 281-beta2 now, appreciate the retina icons. Nice touch.
