Have JCE Pro V 2.7.18 installed on a Joomla 3.9.12 site. The editor itself is functioning with no issues, however I edited the Front end profile and removed many of the buttons. I then selected a specific component that was to use this profile, but it did not make any difference, so I instead tried by user, but still no difference.

So having created a smaller profile, how do I make sure this profile is only used when using a specific component?

Order the profiles so that this front-end profile is above the "Default" profile, ie: first. You can set the order of the profile in the Setup tab when editing the profile.
