In the last few days all my sites with JCE pkg_jce_pro_2714 (and other versions) is generating a blank error window when trying to use the independent file browser. After I click OK the entire admin interface goes blank until I quit and restart the browser. Any ideas?

mciavolino
This happens in the independent file browser and the in article file browser. Help!

mciavolino
Here is the error screen. After this admin goes blank and will not come back without quitting the browser.

This is now happening on all my sites.

This happens on all browsers and multiple computers. It does not happen with the native JOOMLA editor.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean everybody isn't out to get you.

You appear to have some kind of server-side script or service running that is blocking access to a specific url - in this case a variation of the url used by JCE to access the file browser / image manager etc. - and then restricting or banning the ip where that request came from.

Please speak to your hosting company about this.

Yes. You were correct. A mod rule had been set that was effecting only JCE. If is there any way JCE could provide a more elegant warning as opposed to blank box and total browser crash?

JCE was not creating the error message. This was done by your server. The "crash" was, as I explained above, was the result of the IP ban, or some other server related thing.
