The first JCE 2.0 Release Candidate has been released. As the name suggests, this may be the final pre-stable release unless major, as yet undiscovered issues emerge.
Thanks to everyone who submitted suggestions and bug reports. Thanks especially to Brian Teeman for his UI suggestions.

In addition to this release, the Media Manager and File Manager have each had a minor update and the Captions and IFrames plugins for JCE 2.0 have also been released.
Subscribers can find these in the Plugin Downloads section. The Media Manager and File Manager updates are also available via the JCE Updates dialog in the JCE Control Panel.
The Image Manager Extended 2.0 is currently in development and a beta wil be available soon.
This is a maintenance release that fixes a few small issues and includes an update of TinyMCE to 3.4.3. See the links below for download, installation instructions and changelog.

This will be the last beta release. The next release will be JCE 2.0.0 Stable with updates to follow as frequent point releases, ie: 2.0.1, 2.0.2 etc.

An alternate tar version is being provided as this may help installation in some cases where a "Cannot find Joomla XML setup file" error is shown, wihch may be caused by a file limit imposed by the server on zip extraction.
This is a maintenance release to fix a few issues, most notably JSON errors in the Spellchecker and Preview and an issue when saving from the textarea html view. TinyMCE is also updated to 3.4.2
