This release fixes a large number of bugs reported by users since the release of JCE Pro 2.8.1
In addition to these fixes, a few improvements have been made to existing features.
Search for files and folders in the File Browser
The Search tool in the File Browser will now return a matched list of files and folders. The search query also accepts wildcards, and a search for specific file types can be made by specifying the file extension, eg: .jpg
Expanded URL Conversion Options
The Relative URLs parameter has been replaced with a new URL Conversion parameter which sets how or if you want local URL values to be processed. There are 3 options available:
- Relative - The site's protocol and domain are removed from the URL
- Absolute - The site's protocol and domain are added to the URL
- None - The URL is left as it is
The new option can be found in Editor Profiles -> Editor Parameters -> Cleanup & Output.
Media Preview Toggle Instructions
A new label on the Media Preview element explains how to toggle the Media Placeholder, using a CTRL (CMD) + Click, so that alignment and resize functions can be performed.
JCE Pro 2.8 includes a number of great new features and enhancements and is available for download or to update via the Joomla Updater.
